With registration and testing over and done with this week’s new students have joined their new classmates and thrown themselves into the Australian way of life. A big WELCOME, we hope you have a great time here at Lexis Sydney.
Sadly Andreanessa, Guido and Isabella had to leave the school today, leaving behind them large impressions on the school’s daily life. A big THANK YOU, we shall miss your happy faces.
“Surfing is SOO hard” – Honest words from Guido, who normally calls the Swiss slopes home. While studying in Manly he decided to try his feet on a surfboard, accompanied by his Brazilian classmate Marcus. A first for both men, but while Marcus outdid him on the water, Guido will be back home in his right element next week: The safe, solid white stuff that doesn’t move under your feet!!
Which activities and workshops are you going to join this month?
Remember to sign up at reception!
It was a picture perfect day in Manly for our afternoon walk and talk to Shelly Beach.
And here they are, Lexis Sydney’s new kids on the block!! First day at school, having flown in from all corners of the globe… and yet they clicked so well you’d think they’ve known each other for a long time. WELCOME, great to have you here, we look forward to some fun times ahead…
Saying good-bye to lovely people is hard – and today, with lots of student finishing @ Lexis Sydney, was one of those days! But hey, we are happy, too. It has been so much fun having you in our school. Best of luck wherever you will go from here, take care out there – and KEEP SMILING!!
People who learn a new language are always open to trying and learning other new things too. Today our students learnt how to play Beach Cricket!
Everyone had a turn at bowling, batting, wicket-keeping and fielding.
We love having an Aussie barbie on our school balcony!
What a view to enjoy while getting to know your school mates and perhaps some friendly competition on the foosball table.
Manly, the place to be!! Ada and Sara started their new lives as students at Lexis Sydney today – and what a perfect summer day they were greeted by. A big WELCOME to you both, please go ahead and make the most of your time in our school.
Saying goodbye to friends and class mates can be hard when your last day comes around – which was what happened to Martin, Claudia, Sayaka and Mai today. We are all sad to see these lovely students go but feel lucky to have had them in our school! Best of luck wherever you go from here.
We had a lot of tasty treats; vegemite, fairy bread, ANZAC cookies, minties, Tim Tams, lamingtons and tiny teddies! Have you tried any of these? Which is your favourite?
Today it was Bye Bye to Duda and Naiara for this time around. Life HAS to go on without the dear Lexis Sydney friends. But Hey Hey, we shall meet again. Someday, somewhere. All the best from all of us @ the school.
Summer + a morning of English class = an afternoon of enjoying ice cream and making travel plans at Peterpans
The perfect Summer day walk to Freshwater Beach.
We are so incredibly lucky!
Next Monday we will walk to the Secret Beaches. Don’t miss it!
Lexis Sydney’s new kids on the block arrived this morning and were met by a beautiful blue sky. And with a great school and happy fellow students all around you what could possibly go wrong? A big WELCOME to all, we look forward to having you in our school.
Call them serious students, call them leisure lovers, call them great friends… Call them whatever you like, it’ll all be true. Two happy and easy going student, really. Alizee and Berry, we will miss you both very much, all the best out there in the real World!!!
Study English in the morning. Play Beach Voleyball in the afternoon. Simple. That’s how life should be.

RAIN IN MANLY!! Yes, it does happen. Our new students were greeted by a rare wet day today and had to duck for cover – but still smiles right ’round. A WARM WELCOME to everyone, see you back in class tomorrow.
